2. How We Use Browser Storage

We use browser storage technologies to provide and improve our Services. Here is what we use and why:

Essential Storage (Required)

These are necessary for the Services to function and cannot be disabled:

• Authentication token (localStorage and sessionStorage) — Keeps you signed in. The sessionStorage copy is cleared when you close the browser tab.
• User identifier (localStorage) — Associates your browser with your account for session continuity
• Platform context (sessionStorage) — Identifies which Office application you are using (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Sheets)
• Google Workspace tokens (sessionStorage) — Temporary authentication tokens for Google Workspace integration, cleared on tab close

Consent Storage (Required)

• Cookie consent choice (localStorage: lr-cookie-consent) — Records your cookie consent preference ("all" or "essential"). This is necessary to respect your choice and is itself classified as essential under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3).

Functional Storage (Optional)

These are only stored when you consent to non-essential storage via the consent banner. If you choose "Essential Only," these items are not saved and settings will reset to defaults on each visit:

• Onboarding state — Whether you have seen first-time usage guides

Essential — Disclaimer Acceptance

The record of your acceptance of the data processing disclaimer (lunarabbit-disclaimer-accepted) is classified as essential because it is required to access the Services. Without it, the disclaimer modal would appear on every visit, preventing normal use.

3. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not use any advertising cookies, analytics cookies from third parties, or cross-site tracking technologies. Your browsing activity on our Services is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Google Workspace Add-on Context

When you use LunaRabbit Office as a Google Workspace add-on, the add-on runs within Google's iframe environment. Google may set its own cookies to manage the add-on lifecycle and authentication. These cookies are governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not ours.

5. Microsoft Office Add-in Context

When you use LunaRabbit Office as a Microsoft Office add-in, the add-in runs within Microsoft's webview environment. Microsoft may set its own cookies for Office authentication and add-in management. These cookies are governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement, not ours.

6. Cookie Consent Banner

When you first use our Services, a consent banner will appear at the bottom of the screen. You may choose:

• Accept All — Enables both essential and functional storage for the best experience.
• Essential Only — Limits storage to what is strictly necessary for the Services to function (authentication, platform context).

Your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for our domain, which will cause the consent banner to appear again on your next visit.

You can manage or delete browser storage through your browser settings:
